Aged beauty by Lauren Bacall

A cool, inspiring and gorgeous actress has left us. Lauren Bacall died 89 years old some days ago. So did lovely Robin Williams. Sad and tragic.

My social media feeds were (and still are) filled with their photos and RIPs.

However everywhere I look I only see photos of young Bacall from the 40’s and 50’s. Williams is shown as the elderly gentleman he was before he passed away. Why is that?

I want to see more aged female beauty, more old cool cats that inspire me, more women that are seen like they are today – with lines of life. I’m 35 years old and I want to feel that beauty has no specific age! And not that I soon should be hidden away in the closet tagged ‘old female archive’.

Beauty changes with years and is never status quo. Bacall was stunning at the age of 25 but she was nonetheless beautiful at the age of 87 when Andy Gotts took this photo of her.

Beauty is not a competition of young vs old – let’s stop this stupid idea once and for all. There is room for all of us.

/Sincerely that 30+ girl.
