The gift of seeing things other don’t is a true creative gift. I often get inspired by photographers eye – Christer Strömholm (1918-2002) is one of those.
I just got back from a vacation in Chile. A country I haven’t visited for over 20 years and that I have family in. Chile is filled with warmth and beauty, but also of differences and contrast. Good and sad.
Every time I travel, I always think of the things I see – how somebody else would see (and experience them) with their eyes instead. That is, I guess, why photographers eyes always thrill me. Specially a person like Christer Strömholm who had a life everything but ordinary.
Christer Strömholms photos reveal not only a skill but also a humble approach of life that really inspires me. That is to me the true gift. To actually see beyond what the rest of us sees.
